With dignity, on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Beloved husband of Esther Birnbaum for fifty-nine years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Ron and Stephanie, Larry and Carolyn, Diane and the late Ian Samberg. Adored grandpa of Sadie, Quinn, Samantha, and Robert. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Bill and Estelle Levine, Issie and Rose Levine, Jack Levine, Betty and Nathan Korzenstein. Dearest brother-in-law of Stanley and Faigie Brinbaum, Leonie and the late Howard Caplan. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the 3rd floor at Manoir St. Patrice for their care and compassion. Much cherished Zaida of Allison, Heather, Jonah, Matthew, Gabriel, Rebecca and Garren, Jessica and Rob. Proud great-grandfather of Casey, Jonah, Jackson and Duncan. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ben and the late Sally Jacobson, and predeceased by his other siblings, Jack, Fay, Esther, Charlie, and Hy.
