SAMUEL, Valentine (née Faraj). Peacefully at home, on Monday, April 1, 2013, at the age of eighty-seven. Wife of the late Eli. Daughter of the late Saleh and the late Gourgie. Loving mother of Charles and David. Cherished ‘Mamala’ of Eli and Ben. Dear sister of Joseph Faraj, the late Salim Faraj (the late Doris), the late Gracie Khazzam (the late Haroun), the late Suzanne Faraj. Sister-in-law of Joe and Ruby Samuel, Nory Samuel, Hermi Mahlke, and Rachel Meyers. Predeceased by her four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Adopted mother to Virginia. She will be lovingly remembered by Cecile and June. Memories of the wonderful times spent with her will always be with us. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Corrine and Dr. Leonard Parver, Sheldon and Cindy Propas. Cherished grandmother of Dr. David Parver (Maya), and Deborah Oremland (Ryan). Proud great-grandmother to her sweet grandchildren, Lia and Bobby Oremland; Noa and Talia Parver. Sister of the late Kate Hirsch (Marty), and the late Jack Fogel (Claire), and sister-in-law of the late Doris Propas-Hyman, the late Max and the late Pearl Propas. Sylvia is survived by her nieces and nephews, Linda and Solly Feldman, Roz Gareh, Sharon, Stanley and Arthur Fogel, Lorne, and the late Steven Propas, and their families. Her family and many good friends will miss her lovely smile and presence.
