Survived by many nieces and nephews. BLAUSTEIN, Esther Irene (nee Wolff). Peacefully, in her sleep, at Mount Sinai Hospital, on Saturday, March 9, 2013. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Monte, Rebecca (Joel Caplan), and Andrea; her seven grandchildren, Sarah, Deborah, Sean, Brian, Jamie, Leilani, and Alannah; and four great-grandchildren, Lily, Koen, Tatum, and Myles. She is also missed by her sister, Rosetta Elkin. Esther was predeceased by her husband E. Henry Blaustein, and her four sisters, Annette Wolff, Sarah Orkin, Rachel Esar, and Fanny Wolff. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, March 11 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt. Mother-in law of Dr. Doris Steinberg and Allan Quaile. Cherished grandmother of Tara and Craig Steinberg. Sister of Flora Caplan, the late Jack, the late Rose Miller, and the late Pearl Shrader. Sister-in-law of the late Sydney Caplan, the late Ruth Witzling, the late Boaz Miller, the late Wes Shrader, the late Sam and the late Helen Steinberg, the late Nathan and the late Annie Steinberg, the late Jack and the late Gertrude Steinberg, the late Max and the late Sybil Steinberg Plotnick, and the late Lilly and the late Hyman Rafman. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and all who knew her. Devoted and loving aunt of Marsha Stall (Gavin), and Eva Friede, and great aunt of Joshua Stall, Richard Krasnow, Sam and Eric Plotnick. Great-great aunt of David Stall. The family would like to thank the staff of the Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Joy Merriman for her many years of care and devotion. ROSEN-EIN, Pearl. After a lifetime of devotion to her family, Pearl Rosen-Ein passed away with courage and grace on Thursday, March 14, 2013. Pearl was the daughter of the late Isaac Rosen and the late Sonia Scholnick Rosen. Loving mother of Howard Ein (Lana), and Stephanie Ein. Caring sister of Henry Rosen, Ita Seltzer (Lionel Segal), and the late Bertha Rosen. Proud aunt of Steven, Stuart, and Eric Seltzer, Adele Lieberfarb, and Bonnie Rozinski. Adoring “grandma” of Willow, and Abra; and dedicated wife of the late Jacob Ein. Pearl was a gifted fashion designer and successful businesswoman who loved gumdrops, Bingo, purple, jangly jewellery, Manischewitz wine, Judge Judy, and Country Music. Heartfelt thanks to our dear friends, particularly Leo Weniger and Carl Henderson, along with Dr. Baird, Dr. Hackett and Dr. Cohen, the nurses and staff of the Jewish General Hospital, for their infinite patience and kindness.
