On Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the age of ninety-six. Beloved wife of the late Saul J. Goldstein. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Sheila Goldstein and Fred Hoffer, Mark Goldstein and Sherry Kaufman. Loving grandmother of Debbie and Eric Purcell, Lisa and Ronen Katz, Lorne and Celia Goldstein, Jeffrey and Ingrid Goldstein, and Dr. Mara Goldstein. Proud great-grandmother of fourteen. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Bernice and Jack Shacter, Ernie and Jessie, and Joseph Boyaner. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. RUBINFELD, Meyer. On Monday, November 26, 2012. Devoted father and father-in-law of Abe, Faygie and Michael Covens, David, Shelley and Brian Therriault. Beloved soul mate of France Trubiano. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Stacey and Megan Covens; Arianne and Michael Rubinfeld; Ryan and Rebecca Shaffer. Former husband of Diana Rubinfeld. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Gerald and Cheryl, and David. Devoted grandmother of Amy Josephson and Barry Rapkowski, Robert Josephson and Nina Heft, Jonathan Josephson and Stephanie LaRoque; and Adam Josephson. Great-grandmother of Adam and Matthew Rapkowski; Noah and Samantha Josephson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Myer and Joyce Deitcher, Phyllis and the late Moses Deitcher. Sister-in-law of the late Sarah Gold, and the late Ruth Friedman. She will be sadly mourned and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and all those whose lives she touched. She will be always remembered for her strength of character, resilience, loving, gentle nature and good sense of humour. David Cohen

COHEN, David (ben Yoseph ve Rivka). It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. David passed away peacefully, at the age of ninety-six, at Mount Sinai Hospital, on Friday, October 19, 2012. He was the loving husband of Thelma (née Mandel); father and father-in-law of Nadene and Jack (Solomon); Zaidie of Brahm, Shauna and Steven (Lazarovitz); and great-grandfather of Olivia and Matthew (Lazarovitz). A very special brother and brother-in-law of the late Allan and the late Rae Cohen, the late Gert and the late George Silverman, the late Esther and the late Adolph Rozalinsky, the late Toby and the late Aaron Freed, Bryna and the late Ted Rudner, the late Maytie and the late Max Sivkin, the late Adele and the late Joseph Braunstein, and the late Alice Henderson. He was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews. His gentle and loving nature will be forever cherished by all those whose lives he touched. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Claire and Alina for their loving devotion in David’s care, and our appreciation to Dr. Klein and the 3rd floor staff of Mount Sinai Hospital.
