HILL - At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, November 9th, 1999. Frederick Hugh Hill of St. Thomas in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mrs. Avis Winnifred (Gatecliffe) Hill (September 1999) and dearly loved father of Ken and his wife Joan Hill of St. Thomas and Kathi Bauslaugh of St. Thomas. Predeceased by five brothers John, Harry, Gene, Lyle and Tommy. Frederick is also lovingly remembered by five grandchildren Robert, Barry and Jeff Hill and Rick and David Luiting; by five great grandchildren Adam, Andrew, Dylan, Ashley and Cassidy and by several nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A tree will be planted as a Living Memorial to Mr. Hill.

McLAIN - Malcolm Donald "Mac" of St. Thomas, on Tuesday, November 9, 1999, at the London Health Sciences Centres (Victoria Campus), in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Marilyn Marie (Charlton) and dearly loved father of Don McLain of St. Thomas, Brenda and her husband Harry Bakker of R.R.#3, Tillsonburg and Darlene McLain and special friend Terry Fallowfield of St. Thomas. Loved son of Ruth (Walker) McLain of Port Bruce and the late William Henry McLain (1969). Dear brother of Henry and his wife Betty McLain of Port Burwell, James and his wife Agnes of Tillsonburg, David and his wife Gwen of Hamilton, Angus and his wife Gwen of London and John McLain and friend Deb of Burlington, Frances and her husband Clarence Shelley of Wallacetown and Jean and her husband Tom Shardlow of Port Bruce. Predeceased by a brother Robert "Bob" McLain. Much loved grandfather of Steven and Katie Satchell and Mitchell Bakker. Dear son-in-law of Herb and Margaret Charlton of Lyons and brother-in law of Rosemary and Gary Gordon of St. Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of choice. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Mac.

BARBER - William "Bill" Albert of St. Thomas, on Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at St. Thomas, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Magdalena (Mayer) Barber and dear father of Theresa Rooney of Oshawa, Judy and her husband Clyde Elliott of London, Bill and his wife Karen Barber of Orangeville, Nancy Buell of Michigan, Janet and her husband Larry Garrod of London, Laura and her husband Allan Blahovich of Alberta and Cindy Barber of Nova Scotia. Dear brother of Isabel Pettus of Port Stanley and Louis McAtee of St. Thomas. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Dear sister of Brent Brooks and granddaughter of Craig and Donna Bond of R.R.#5, St. Thomas, Mary Ellen and Ken Brooks of St. Thomas and Bill and Sheila Brooks of Norwich and great granddaughter of Nan Horncastle of St. Thomas and Nonie Kennelly of Port Stanley. Also survived by a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service to be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Malcolm Rust, Chaplain of the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital officiating. Visitation Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined with remembrances to Cystic Fibrosis, Jesse's Journey or the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation (Pediatrics). A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Ashley Anne.

FOX - Charles Edward of R.R.#3, Shedden, on Saturday, August 5, 2000, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 79th year. Son of the late Edward and Otta (Moyer) Fox and dear cousin of Gladys Hunt of London, Diane Fleming of Aylmer and Joyce Silcox of Ancaster, as well as several other cousins. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will beheld Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Frome Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A donation will be made to the Memory Garden of Pinafore Park in remembrance of Charles.

LEITH - Suddenly at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Wednesday, August 9, 2000, Herbert Edmund Leith of Babcock Nursing Home and formerly of West Lorne in his 82nd year. Dear husband of Florence (McKenzie) Leith. Dear father of Larry and his wife Nancy of Guelph, and the late Margaret Ann Bragg of West Lorne. Dear grandfather of Lisa Bragg of Baltimore and Shaun Bragg of London. Dear brother of Marian Leitch of Sarnia. Predeceased by bothers Donald and Kenneth and his parents George and Frances (nee McKillop) Leith. Funeral service will be held at the West Lorne Chapel, 202 Main Streeton Friday at 2:00 on with the Reverend Kirby Breithaupt officiating. Visiting 2 hours prior. ROGERS - At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, July 31, 2000, Allison Louise Rogers of Port Stanley in her 56th year. Beloved wife of John K. Rogers and dearly loved mother of John Bruce Rogers, Port Stanley and Tina and her husband Tony Cirillo, Niagara Falls. Dear sister of Stuart, Bruce and Dorion, Quebec and loved grandmother of Tony Jr. and Christopher Cirillo. Dear daughter-in-law of Florence Hickey, Kensington, Prince Edward Island and sister-in-law of Mary and her husband Glen Beaton, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Barbara and her husband Glen McKay, French River; Mary Rogers , Darnley; Ellsworth and his wife Pauline Rogers, Hamilton and Elizabeth and her husband Arnold Hickey, Alberta. Predeceased by a brother-in-law Carl Rogers. A Public Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church (Anglican), Port Stanley on Saturday, August 12th at 2:00 p.m. Interment of ashes in Christ Church Cemetery.
