David Andrew; The Lord wrapped his arms around him and gently carried him to the promised land Friday, Aug. 3, 2001 after a long and coureagous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side, still maintaining his dignity, pride and sense of humour, in his 42nd year. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Donna Darbyson (Hogg), and children Matthew, Erica, Jodi and Jonathon at home. Beloved son and son-in-law of the late William Darbyson (1984) and Harriet Darbyson of Stoney Point, John and Judy Owen of Chatham, and the late William Hogg (1993), and Jackie Hogg of Essex. Brother and brother-in-law of Terrance and Linda Darbyson of Windsor, Venita Bellamy of Stoney Point, Michael and Holly of British Columbia, Christopher and Wandy Darbyson of Windsor, Timothy and Darlene Ward of Stoney Point, Marcel and Charlene Gerard of Comber, Wayne and Pauline Darbyson of Chatham, Allen and Debbie Woodrich of Chatham, Diane Morris of Windsor, Dana and Corrina Morris of Chatham, Dave Hogg of Chatham, Angie Hogg of Chatham, Derrick and Lori Hogg of Windsor, and Christine Sherwood of Chatham. He has a host of nieces and nephews that were very special to him, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. David rested at the Alexander Funeral Home, 354 Wellington St. West from where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday, Aug. 6, 2001 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Vincent officiating. Cremation followed. Memorial donations to the Community Care Access Centre or to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

At London Health Sciences Centre, South Campus, on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, Roberta Lee Fuhrman, age 44, of Chatham-Kent, wife of the late Carl Fuhrman (1988), and loving companion of Peter Labute. Born in Dearborn, Mich. on Sunday, April 7, 1957, daughter of Elizabeth (Sleep) and Lorne Coykendall of Michigan, she worked at the Judy LaMarsh Building in Chatham. She will be sadly missed by her children, Renee, David and Timothy, all at home; by two sisters, Linda Fischer of Ohio, and Cheryl Knapp of Virginia; and by her brothers, Howard, William, Robert, Richard and Terry Coykendall, all of Michigan. Friends and relatives called at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. South. The funeral service was conducted at the funeral home's chapel on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001 at 2 p.m. with the Funeral Facilitator Susan Jolley officiating. Burial took place in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association would be appreciated.


At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General campus, on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, Leonard Percival Jenner Sr., age 82, of Dresden. Beloved husband of 63 years to Virginia (Moeyaert) Jenner. Born in Chatham in 1918, son of the late Estella Kaufman and Harry Jenner. Leonard was a retired farmer of Chatham, Dover and Harwich townships. He will be sadly missed by four sons, Leonard Jr. and his wife Diane of Chatham (and their children, Melissa and fiancee Terry, Carrie; and step-daughters Kim, Sue and Pam), Duaine Jenner and his companion Charlene Davies of Wallaceburg (and their children, Sandra and husband Mike, Mike and Eric; and stepchildren, Josh and Jennifer and; and great-grandchildren Brandon and Christopher), Brian and his wife Lyne of Quebec City; and Gary Jenner and his companion Sue Deyo of Dresden (children, Amber and Kyle; and stepchildren, Lindsay, Andrew and Gage). Dear brother of Clarissa Peltier of Chatham, Alfred Jenner and his wife Pauline of Chatham; a half brother, Donald Bechard and his wife Jane of Chatham. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Helen Jenner of Chatham, Mary Bechard of Chatham, and Rose Mary Bechard of Sarnia. He is predeceased by a sister, Monica Beatty; by three brothers, Harry Jenner, William and Ross Bechard; and by a sister-in-law, Marion Weir. Friends and relatives called at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. South. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Parish prayers were said on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.


At Victoria Residence in Chatham on Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, Amy Caroline Osmon, age 85, of Chatham, beloved wife of Albert Osmon. Born in Wallaceburg in 1915, daughter of the late Ivy (Taylor) and Bruce McDonald, she was co-owner of Osmon's Hardware on Queen Street with her husband Albert for many years. She will be sadly missed by a son, Douglas and his wife Jayne; and a daughter, Carol and her husband Jack Edds, all of Chatham; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Smith of Royal Oak, Mich. Friends and relatives called at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. South, from where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Susan Jolley of Victoria Residence officiating. Cremation followed. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.


At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General campus, on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, Noel Joseph Pelletier, age 62, of Chatham, soul mate of Betty Pollock of Chatham. Born in 1939, son of the late Irene (Bonnefant) and Levite Pelletier. He will be sadly missed by a stepdaughter, Theresa Bayne and her husband Robert of Sarnia, and their children, Jodie, Lee, Jeffery and Holly; and great-grandfather of Hailey. Dearest brother of Joceyln Pelletier and his wife Linda of New Brunswick. He is predeceased by a brother, Albert Pelletier (July 2001). As were his wishes, he was taken from the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. South, to be cremated. Burial of ashes will take place in the family plot in Drummond, New Brunswick.
