GILBERT, IRVINE THEODORE Irvine T. Gilbert of Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on August 11, 2006. He was a son of the late Donald and Blanche (Hanson) Gilbert. LONDON, RALPH HAZEN - Passed away in his 68th year at Langley, B.C. The son of the late Kenneth and Bessie, he was born in Saint John, N.B. Ralph was an avid and talented sportsman who played, coached and owned as well as promoted baseball and hockey teams in the Hampton area. Ralph won a number of Provincial and Maritime titles with Hampton at the Intermediate level and also toiled with Woodstock in the senior league. Ralph owned and operated a sporting goods business in Sussex. He was district Road Supervisor and also a Provincial Liberal candidate in the 60s. Ralph was a past member of the Masons and the Hampton Legion. As a twelve year old scout Ralph was honoured in Ottawa by the Govenor General when he was presented a medal for bravery in saving a friend's life. In later years Ralph enjoyed a very successful career as a salesman for Preston Chev Olds in Langley, B.C. His passions included crossword puzzles with "Babs", digging clams on his island, and watching his grandsons play hockey. He touched the lives of many with his personable manner and optimism. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family. He was predeceased by his best friend and brother Blake. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara; son Kenny; daughters Natalie (Colin) Bennie, Deborah (Rob) Day, and Theresa; two grandsons Brandon and Nicolas Day; sisters Irene (Bill) MacDonald, Rothesay, Audrey (Robert) Little, Orleans, ON; brothers James (Joanne) London, Hampton and Willard (John) London, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Frederick W. Grant Ph.D 1943-2006 The death of Dr. Fred Grant, 62, of Moncton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, August 11, 2006. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late William James Grant and Dorothy Masterton. He was a teacher, principal, supervisor and psychologist for what is now School District #2. He was a great asset to the educational system and was responsible for the innovation and implementation of many programs. He also served on many boards in the field of education and in the community. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Heather MacKenzie; his son, Cliff Frederick; and daughter, Sara Jane; and their mother, Mary Jane Grant; his stepdaughter, Sarah MacKenzie Allen; his brother, Gerald (Trudy) Masterton; his aunts, Alfreda Mitchell and Rhoda Cochrane; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters in-law and brothers in-law. Arthur LeBlanc MEMRAMCOOK, NB - Arthur LeBlanc of Memramcook passed away at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the age of 83. Born in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Nasthas LeBlanc and the late Ida Bourque. Before his retirement, he was a farmer and a mechanic at the Dry Doc for 21 years. He was a member of the Legion # 89 of Memramcook, Air Force Club and Buffalo Club in Saint John. He is survived by a special friend, Marguerite (Brun) LeBlanc; one brother, Alfred (Florence) LeBlanc of Dover and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Angeline LeBlanc; three sisters, Rita, Irene and Beatrice; and by four brothers, Herve, Aurele, Ernest and Eddie. Born in Claire-Fontaine on November 26, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Frank Leonard and Rosalie (Richard) Cormier. Nelly was a Homemaker, but above all she was an exceptional wife and mother.
